What was the initial inspiration for Masha and The Bear?

In my childhood my mother often read to me a fairytale named “Masha and te Bear”. Frankly speaking I was just fond of it! One day I decided to introduce my little sons to this fairytale. Because of my kids really like to play with IPad, i came to conclusion it would be great to create an App with this fairytale! I wrote the script, read the text at the studio and found the illustrator who was able to translate my ideas on the paper. Two months of hard work – and finally we can find the App “Masha and the Bear” at the Appstore!

What is your favorite aspect of the app?

The unique illustrations of the book are done in the best tradition of national epic. Many contemporary books are full of the same bright soulless computer graphics and 3D. But in this book illustrations are drawn by hand with watercolors, crayons and pencils. Most of the objects of the book are interactive (the main characters, animals, environment etc). Find them and make alive! The soundtrack perfectly fits the atmosphere of the good old fairy-tale.

Is there anything else you want to say to our readers?

I would like to introduce IPad users from the US with a great magical world of  Russian fairytales! I hope they like it!
