Geography Drive USA™ is presented to us by Spinlight Studio.  They created AlphaTots, the first app I got for my grandson 2 years ago, he knows quality when he sees it even at the ripe old age of 2! We have reviewed many Spinlight apps and they just keep topping themselves. This app made Geography Fun for me! Though I need to make more cash after buying that car! What was the initial inspiration for your app?

Boy, this one started forming in the back of our brains so long ago, I can’t even tell you the inspiration for it. But I can tell you that Geography Drive USA™ is easily our most ambitious app to date, with 750 questions and all sorts of fun, customizable elements that make it a blast to play.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

I think it’s just the level of polish that this game has. And that’s a direct result of the way it came together. We worked very hard first to make a solid game that was fun and educational, and then we slowly added the touches that make it really rewarding to play. With Geography Drive USA™, there are trophies to win and products to deliver — there’s even a newspaper with headlines that change to reflect various player achievements. All of that comes together to create a rich gaming experience, and I think that’s why adults like it just as much as the kids. Ultimately, it’s not a kid’s app; it’s a fun app that kids can play. And I think that’s the hallmark of a strong educational title.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Yes, Geography Drive is just the tip of the iceberg. From AlphaTots and Operation Math to “Pixel and Parker” — our first children’s story — we’ve got apps for every age group in our catalog. And in the coming months we plan to add a lot more. At Spinlight Studio, we believe there’s a real need for fun, compelling educational titles that kids love and parents trust, and it’s our goal to provide them. We really came together to make a really well-thought out game that worked from start to finish, and then we started adding the touches that made that experience better.

First, we made a great game, and then we kept adding the touches to make a great game even better — whether it’s the ability to upgrade cars, or earn trophies or see your accomplishments show up in the headlines in the virtual paper. A lot of apps in this category seem to be a collection of random games. But Geography Drive USA™ is a rich and enjoyable game experience from beginning to end, and I think that’s why adults like it just as much as kids. This isn’t a fun kid’s app. It’s a fun app that kids can play.
