The Singing Alphabet – ABC’s Come To Life!
The Singing Alphabet app is a wonderful way to covey phonics to kids! Each letter expresses its’ sound when pressed. You can spell out a word and heard to pronounce or make up a song! This is a great opportunity to let kids explore in a free play style with these very friendly characters. You could also use the app as a fun way to practice spelling words! I had fun making the whole alphabet sing. The catchy sounds have you dancing in your seat! This app is presented to us by Ministry of Letters ltd.

What was the initial inspiration for your app?
I work for a production company called Bosh and we were animating the letters for Al MacCuish who created the Ministry of Letters. The idea for the app came the second I saw all the letters printed out and pinned to the wall. I have always played around with the idea of making a song
using only vocal sounds for all the instruments and it struck me that, between
them, the letters would be able to make all the sounds needed for a song. Anthony Austin, the founder of Bosh, and Al thought is was an excellent idea and we went from there.
What is your favorite aspect of your app?
My favourite bit is the “mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-miiiiii” bit at the beginning, or
maybe “w”. Sammy, the Ministry of Letters’ chief of Children, likes the fact there is no right or wrong way of using the app and it is a great way for children to play with the alphabet.
Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
I haven’t got any sweets or anything. I could share some nice music…
