Saffy Looks For Rain
Saffy Looks For Rain is simply adorable. Saffy searches and searches for a sign of rain. She gets a big surprise when she finds that what you are looking for may not be what you need! The narration and graphics are terrific and the simplicity of the book just makes the app perfect. In addition to the story, there are coloring opportunities and a game center to keep your kids coming back. All of our educational apps teach some aspect of life and also include strengthening eye-hand coordination, observation skills, and much more! This one is a keeper!

Meet The Author & Illustrator!
What was the initial inspiration for your app?
The book “Saffy Looks for Rain” was the initial inspiration for the app. This
book, along with the others in the Simply Small series, has had such a great
response from readers that we wanted to turn it into an app experience. Like
the board books, the app is deceptively simple on the surface, but it’s that
same simplicity – bold lines, basic concepts, and fun sounds – that make it
accessible for the very young.
What is your favorite aspect of your app?
My favorite aspects of the app are the “record your own voice” option, and the
unexpected things that happen when you touch each page. Some of these
interactions are subtle, but others are more active and punctuate the story.
Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
I would be very interested in feedback from your readers. We plan to create and
release more apps based on the Simply Small books and it would be great to know
what we’re doing right, and what we’re doing wrong, so we can keep making them
better and better! ~ Author and illustrator of the Saffy Looks for Rain story, Paola Opal.
