Numbers and Counting – Teacher Tilly is a fun and charming way for kids to learn their numbers.  Kids will enjoy playing along with Tilly and becoming more confident as they progress. This app doesn’t have wrong answers. If kids tap a number that is not asked for, the number will be pronounced, reinforcing number recognition and keeping things positive.  All games include lots of praise, fun graphics, and surprises! This app is easy for all kids to navigate.

This is a great tool for Preschool and Early Elementary Teachers to have on hand. It makes a for a treat during free time, while reinforcing number lessons. Meet The Developer!

What was the initial inspiration for your app?

My oldest son learns very fast. At age 1 and a half  he spoke in complete sentences.  When he was 3 years old he already new the entire alphabet and could count to 20.
My youngest is now 3, almost 4,  and I am now teaching him to recognize the numbers 1 to 10. After 2 months he knew the numbers 1 to 7. In the meantime,  we made this app for him to help him learn the numbers. We live in The Netherlands and here we did not have a good educational app to help him learn the numbers.
A good friend of ours, Mindy Douglass from Software Smootie helped us and she did the voice – over for the English version.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

My favorite is the gumball machine. All the other practices where thought up me. I am an elementary schoolteacher  here in The Netherlands. All the practices 1-4 are all based on educational practices here in The Netherlands. One day my husband told me about his idea of the gumball machine and I just went with his idea and made little adjustments. Now that’s my sons favorite part of the app!
