This Fairlady Media app for kids encompasses numerous topics of education as well as reinforcement of heartwarming memories for kids worldwide. Just the thought of a day at the zoo with Grandma and Grampa is enough to entice them to participate with enthusiasm. This is the 10th in a series of Grandma and Grampa apps, each a favorite of many parents, teachers, and caregivers.  The entire series contains valuable educational aspects as well as life lessons that will last!

Educational games include coloring, spelling,  puzzles, math, and matching. There are endless exotic animal facts that accompany fantastic pictures and realistic animal sound effects. Kids will be collecting awards with each accomplishment. In ‘Settings’ the awards can be cleared for kids to start over or share with a friend. You can also turn games on and off depending on your kid’s level. The activities switch up each time you return to the homepage.

What was the initial inspiration for your app?

Connie and I love taking our own children to the Zoo. A big part of that is experiencing animals and their environments that you don’t normally get to see.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?
We wanted to include as many different types of exotic animals as we could. The more unusual, the better!

Fairlady Media was founded in 2009 by husband and wife team James and Connie Bossert. James holds a degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. He has more than 15 years experience as a senior instructional technologist at NC state. Connie holds a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from Penn State University. She has worked as a senior instructional designer and professor, teaching courses in adolescent and child development. She is a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator. As parents of two young children, James and Connie apply their experiences with technology-savvy kids to the rapidly changing educational games market.
