What was the initial inspiration for Fractions?

Fractions is a topic many students encounter and struggle with each and every year of school. We love to take abstract math topics and make them visual, interactive, and relevant to the real world.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

The app focuses on “why” you do things, not just “how” you do things. For example, very few people understand why “invert and multiply” works for fraction division. We firmly believe that students learn best when they develop a deep sense for math rather than just following memorized formulas.
