Grandma Loves Bugs | Apps For Kids
Grandma Loves Bugs! Kids just love playtime with Grandma and this app gives them lots to do. Grandma will ask for help and cheer kids on the whole way! Kids will be identifying bugs, coloring butterflies, catching fireflies, spelling bug names, matching upper and lower case letters and more. There are ten mini games and lots of videos included to learn more about the insect world yet kids will be having so much fun it won’t feel like learning!
Parents can select which levels to add or remove based on each of their little one’s level of comfort. This app is the perfect Teacher Tool, whether Preschool or Elementary, to reinforce science lessons on nature or to use as a very productive reward time. Along with nature, the app is also a great support for reading readiness, counting, problem solving, colors, and memory. This app is presented to us by Fairlady Media.

What was the initial inspiration for your app?
Our own children have always been the inspiration for our kids’ games. As we watch them grow and discover the world, we see ways that their experiences can be enhanced through play and learning. Whether children are at home or in school, they are always so curious. Our most recent app, Grandma Loves Bugs, builds on children’s curiosity about creepy-crawlies. In the game, kids have a variety of interactions to keep them interested, and they have the opportunity to view bugs from lots of perspectives – as predators, as prey, as builders, and as a beautiful part of nature.
What is your favorite aspect of your app?
The apps in the Grandma and Grandpa series use relationships and positive guidance to help children learn. In Grandma loves bugs, kids get lots of encouragement from Grandma, and they also see her spunky and silly side. She dances, she claps, she gives a thumbs-up. I especially love the scene in which the child has to find a bug in Grandma’s hair… kids really respond to that kind of humor.
Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Parents and teachers can trust that our apps will be fun, educational, and engaging. My husband James and I have strong backgrounds in education, design, and computer science. All of our games are extensively play-tested by children, and a product is never finished until it gets “all-smiles” from our testers. We also rely on customer feedback to improve our games. I think this commitment to quality sets us apart in the vast market of kids’ games on the App Store.
