What was the initial inspiration for your app?

I got the idea to start my new company SmartKidsPlaying.com after I saw how fast and intuitive two kids learn using the iphone and ipad.I started to search for business opportunities in the app-economy and found an interesting niche – educational games for young children. I saw that relatively little offer of high quality games with true factor for education and fun. Because my other company develops educational games for Disney’s online portal, I decided to use my experience to start a new business – educational apps with high fun factor, that are easy to use and with original game concepts. I want to offer all children in the world exciting games with a sophisticated educational core.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

My favorite aspect of Coloring Smart is that children starting from 2 years can very easily learn to play with numbers. A kid can figure out what the right color for a piece of drawing is by examine the drawing. If you look at the sky in the image than your child knows that the sky is blue. So your kid will choose the blue color to fill the sky with blue color. On the other side your child will see the numbers behind the colors and the pieces of the image and will develop cognitive ability to handle numbers. My app also has many drawings with other educational modes. They are: mental calculation for older kids and shape recognition for younger kids.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

I would like to suggest our readers to watch for new educational games from our website (see iTunes Store for link) and from our competitors. There is a huge market with very interesting and innovative ways to educate our children. I think its great for our kids that they have amazing devices to learn while playing.
