In Doodlezoo you can mix, switch, and rearrange 21 different animals to create more than a million possible colorful characters. Fantastic for stimulating imagination and creativity.

First you build  your animal, pick a habitat,  and name your animal, they will be nicely framed with a name tag in your personal zoo!  You can turn your animal into black and white so you can color it the way you like with your favorite art app. Or get out your art supplies and print the page to color. What was the initial inspiration for  Doodlezoo?

We wanted to make an app that encourages creativity, is funny, and can produce something to do in the real world too.  If anything, it was inspired by the platypus, an animal which looks too ridiculous to be true, but there it is!  Above all Doodlezoo encourages kids to re-imagine the familiar.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

We love the crossover of being able to print your wild creation, pull out your pencil crayons and create something new all over again.  And the bright colors of the hand drawn graphics.  And the sound when you attach the slug head!  Ewwwww.

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

While Doodlezoo is meant for kids, we’ve caught more than one adult playing it on the sly.  That’s ok by us!  Seriously though, it is so easy to import your creations into other apps we’re hoping to see Doodlezoo animals remixed over and over.  Send us your artwork!
