What was the initial inspiration for Kandy Fish?

It’s a joy to write for preschoolers, because children in this age group, worship fun.  They are consuming information at a ravenous rate and it’s awesome to be a part of this process. You get the privilege to become part of a child’s treasured memory.

What is your favorite aspect of the app? 

The idea of a bunch of fish performing various antics in the sea.

 Is there anything else you would like to say to our readers?

Parents can be involved in the learning process by being supportive and encouraging without breathing down the child’s neck. If the child wants to paint a fish pink, let him/her do so. We can save the discussion on whether or not the ocean has pink fish for later. First, let the child explore without the fear of making mistakes. The more your preschooler is able to learn independently, the more his/her confidence level will go up. Be around to fix the technical glitches and answer questions that the child might have. You can also build your own stories with the Kandy fish to engage your child. The characters can be used as useful and fun memory aids as the visual imprint is likely to be strong in the child’s mind. ~ Nicola
