Magic Stickers! What a wonderful way to help kids explore their creativeness and imagination! Magic Stickers has eight fun filled scenes of Lazoo’s award-winning art.  The stickers are animated and move and interact with the setting. Kids can save their creations by taking a picture. Kids can also create and save their own stickers to play with!

This app is bilingual as well – English and Japanese 🙂 There are tips for parents and educators to get kids rolling along and then allow their imaginations to take over. This app is presented to us by PlayDate Digital. An excellent choice for teachers to allow for creative time as a reward or during breaks!

Meet The Developers!

What was the initial inspiration for your app?

Our belief that kids today have the the power to shape the the world tomorrow.  By fostering creative thinking and creative problem solving in children, we’re hoping to produce a generation of adults who will be innovators; hopefully innovators that will change the world for the better.  Magic Stickers! was meant to model and encourage these skills in a young child.  We took a child’s favorite past-time, stickering, and created an interactive, personalized experience with visuals that guide children into seeing in new ways.  Look at a bread roll and see a bus…look at a stalk of broccoli and see a tree.  The child who starts viewing the world this way is the adult who will look at a computer and see an iPad.

What is your favorite aspect of your app?

They’re a lot of aspects I’d call “favorites” but our Sticker Maker feature is probably my favorite.  While using the stickers on the various pages allows for unlimited open-ended play, the Sticker Maker adds a whole new dimension.  With that feature, kids can create their own stickers–anything they can imagination–and apply them to the scenes we’ve provided or to their own photos.  We’ve tested this with a lot of kids, and across the board, they love it.  It extends the play indefinitely, promotes creative thinking, and is just plain fun (even for parents!).

Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

We’re only getting started.  We practice what we preach, so be on the look out for some really innovative apps in the upcoming months.
